The movie is the first full-length CG 3-D animated motion picture based from the actual video game series known as the Capcoms Resident Evil from the country of Japan. In October 2008, the Resident Evil: Generation premiered nationwide during a Tokyo game show. The movie was released in North America in December 2008. The animated movie was directed by Makoto Kamiya, produced by Hiroyuki Kobayshi, executive producer Haruchiro Tsajimto, and co-producer Hidenori Ueki. The screen writer was Shotaro Suga. The cinematography was done by Sushi Doi and Yusaki Toyoshira. The original music with the movie was done by Tetsuya Takahashi. The movie was filmed by the Capcom, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Digital Frontier Studios. The full running time of the animation film is 96 minutes and resembles the video game. The genre is listed in the foreign movies, sci-fi horror, adult animation, science fiction/fantasy, Japanese, and horror.
