The film tells the story of race relations in the United States, particularly the depiction of African-American women in the world of media and entertainment. Explored are the notions that black women have always been type-casted in major and minor productions. They are often portrayed as sexual beings who talk with an undeniable slang, and walk with a confident swagger. It is something that has not set well with the majority of audiences, and has led to great displeasure in certain communities.
