Arctic Tale

Description

This National Geographic produced documentary film portrays the harsh realities of life for creatures who live inside the Arctic circle as it follows 15 years of the life cycles of a mother walrus and her calf in parallel to a mother polar bear and her cubs. While the two species are seemingly very different the narrator of the film points out that the researchers who created the movie came to realize they have more in common than one would think. The stories of the bonds of a mother's love and the work that must be done to overcome struggles of life in the Arctic provide moving insights to the workings of mother nature.
