Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer is a BBC funded documentary that was written and directed by filmmaker, Nick Broomfield. The film documents the many attempts to interview Aileen Wuornos during the long mediation process through lawyer, Steve Glazer and adopted mother Arlene Pralle. The story follows Aileen Wournos' actions between 1989 and 1990 when she was a homeless, unkempt prostitute and lesbian. She traveled along the rough interstate highways of Florida, where she has admitted to killing at least seven johns.
